How do I update my account name and account type (individual or organization)?

You can manage your account details, including your name and whether you are registered as an individual or an organization, directly from your WhyDonate dashboard.

To Find Your Account Settings:

1. Log in to your WhyDonate account.
2. For Mobile - In the left-side menu, find Profile Settings and go to My Account
3. For Desktop - Find the WhyDonate icon on the top right header menu
4. Click on the Icon and select My Account

To Change Your Name:

1. In Account Settings, find My Account and find your details under User Info.
2. Update your first name, last name, or organization name as needed.
3. Click Save to apply the changes.

To Switch Between Individual and Organization Accounts:
When registering, you can select whether your account represents:

• An individual — a private person raising funds for a personal or charitable cause.
• An organization — a charity, foundation, or other legal entity.

To Update Your Account Type:

1. Go to Account in your dashboard.
2. Look for the Account Type field and select Individual or Organization.
3. If you switch to Organization, you may be asked to provide additional details such as your organisation name and registration information.
4. Click Save to confirm.
