# When will the donations be paid out?

Here’s a clear breakdown of how and when the funds from your campaign will be transferred to your bank account.

### The Payout Process: From Donation to Your Bank

1. **Donation Clearing:** After a donor contributes, their payment needs to clear. This is a standard security step for all financial transactions.
2. **Payout Initiation:** Once cleared, the funds are available in your WhyDonate balance for payout.

### How Long Does a Payout Take?

The speed of your payout depends on two factors: your location and your payout schedule.

* For most countries (including those in the EU and UK), it takes up to **3 business days** for funds to clear and for the payout to be processed by our payment partner, Stripe.

### Control the Payout Schedule
Within your WhyDonate account, you have full control over when you receive your funds. You can choose to:

* **Payout Weekly:** An automatic payout is sent to you every week.
* **Payout Monthly:** Receive all cleared funds in one monthly transfer.
* **Payout Now:** Need access to your funds immediately? Click the '**Payout Now**' button in your balance to initiate a manual transfer for all cleared donations.

### After We Send the Payout
Once WhyDonate and Stripe have processed your payout, the money is sent to your bank. Depending on your bank's internal processing times, it may take an **additional 0-2 business days** for the funds to appear in your account.
