# Is WhyDonate a secure platform?

Yes. Protecting our customers' data is paramount at WhyDonate. All payments from the WhyDonate platform are handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS-certified payment provider with a PSD2 license.

All traffic, including payment traffic, is done via a secure SSL connection. Transaction data is never shared with third parties. Finally, WhyDonate has a Security Verified certification (based on ISO 27001) from the ICT Institute. That makes WhyDonate reliable and ensures a carefree fundraising experience.
