# How do I update my account name and account type (individual or organization)?

You can manage your account details, including your name and whether you are registered as an individual or an organization, directly from your WhyDonate dashboard.

To Find Your Account Settings:
1. Log in to your [WhyDonate account](https://whydonate.com/account/login).
2. For Mobile - In the left-side menu, find **Profile Settings** and go to **My Account**

4. Click on the **Icon** and select **My Account**


To Change Your Name:
1. In Account Settings, find **My Account** and find your details under **User Info**.
2. Update your first name, last name, or organization name as needed.
3. Click **Save** to apply the changes.

| Your name will be visible on your fundraiser pages and to donors, so make sure it accurately represents you or your organization.

To Switch Between Individual and Organization Accounts:
When registering, you can select whether your account represents:
* **An individual** — a private person raising funds for a personal or charitable cause.
* **An organization** — a charity, foundation, or other legal entity.

To Update Your Account Type:
1. Go to **Account** in your dashboard.
2. Look for the **Account Type** field and select **Individual** or **Organization**.
3. If you switch to **Organization**, you may be asked to provide additional details such as your organisation name and registration information.
4. Click **Save** to confirm.
